I’m scheduling my first appointment with a chiropractor for back pain, and I’m nervous! I’m worried the spinal manipulations will hurt, or my back will get screwed up even worse! What can I expect from a visit to the chiropractor?

I was considering chiropractic as a future career, but I wanted to know the process for becoming one. I currently live in Maine but will be moving to San Diego, CA in approximately eight months or so. I visited and talked with a chiropractor and he said something about paying and attending seminars and when finished with those, taking a test. Also, do you know how much a chiropractic assistant can make a month? If you can help me, it’d be great! Thankyou!
