Thank you sooo much for this video! I suffered a minor back injury years ago and had some problems with a pinched nerve off and on for a while. Yoga has helped me tremendously with the pain and muscle tightness in that area, and I'm pleased that I learned a couple new things with this tutorial! :)

I had one question: I also suffer from upper back pain because of a large chest; what poses and flows could I practice regularly to help develop muscle strength in that region to lessen the problem?

Hi there--glad you liked the video! I used to have sciatica badly, so I know that terrible pinched nerve feeling! It's all gone now--hope yours is, too.

For your upper back, most poses will strengthen it. But if you carry a large chest, the pain is most likely coming because the muscles there are TOO strong [tight] and need to be stretched. Cat/Cow, breathing into the rounded back, Crow Pose, Eagle Pose arms, Goddess, and others that stretch the shoulder blades apart would be great for you.

I did:) Side bangs it is for a while!

It's normal to be quite sore in your muscles, but not in pain. Pain coming from pulls, sprains, disc or nerve problems and such should not be worked through...but gone to a doctor for!

Otherwise, if you do some of my classes, you might be reeeeealy sore. But not in pain;)
