I was considering chiropractic as a future career, but I wanted to know the process for becoming one. I currently live in Maine but will be moving to San Diego, CA in approximately eight months or so. I visited and talked with a chiropractor and he said something about paying and attending seminars and when finished with those, taking a test. Also, do you know how much a chiropractic assistant can make a month? If you can help me, it’d be great! Thankyou!

Why don’t you contact your local community college? They should be able to point you in the right direction. Many classes are being offered for medical programs. You could talk to another chiropractor as well to get a second opinion.

You do not need any schooling to become a CA. Most chiros will train you on what procedures and modalities they use. Basically a CA is a glorified receptionist. You schedule answer phones collect payment and place them on therapy.
My advice to you is to look into massage therapy that way you will be paid more because you can work hands on with the patients and you will also learn the muscle and skeletal makeup. there are trade schools that will take your money to train you to become a CA but believe me it is NOT necessary.
